Accessibility week at the paris Mint Museum

On Accessibility Week, the association «La Factotum» offers a tactile, interactive and immersive structure that resonates with the context and history of the Monnaie de Paris (Paris’s Mint Museum). Starting with the notion of currency of
which we value the primary definition as a tool and an exchange system, we wish to build a space for dialogue. Installed in the Gold courtyard and
resonating with its architecture, this structure takes the form of a sensory and
didactic installation featuring the methods of universal design.
With the desire to be accessible to all, it is designed to be activated by all types of visitors. Interactions, primarily tactile, activate various sensory «reactions» on the structure: sound, visual or vibration stimuli.
These stimuli allow a dialogue between the sculpture and the visitors, whether
they are disabled or not: the structure indeed allows sensory experiences that are addressed to all.
