Technic Poured earth floor
In 2022, I was leading the project of Chape-ter, a material research project that works to develop an earth screed using the technique of poured earth.
It uses excavated earth from Brussels, plus a salt dispersant additive to limit water content. Pouring is done using a standard concrete truck and pump in attempt to create a new, more sustainable material product that uses existing construction machinery and tools.
